The one after the 1969 KA-6000 this is still a great amp, a bit of a sleeper if the prices asked on the KA-6000 are very high, the KA-6004 is still affordable & sounds great. Knowing both upgraded to the same level, the KA-6004 is actually as good as the KA-6000.
Rare to find with all the Plastic Lever Switches intact, compare to the one on the Solds Gallery. These are strong in use still, if in storage these can get knocked.
Amp fully Recapped with Upgrades, the front Preamp board is a tricky one to work on. The relay is good & reliable on this amp. On this one we trimmed all the overlong wiring points, this isn't good as so close together they can also create RF like a Tuner, so more pro to tidy it all.
Condition is Nice, just better than our last one, side cheeks on high grade, Fascia 8.5/10. top lid has a few minor marks as pictured in bright light to show detail. Some minor aging inside as shown, an amp that didn't get much use before being long stored away. All original Lever Switch covers, all display Bulbs work. 3 core mains cable of good length. Nice amp ready to use.
A larger sized amp 436mm wide x 155mm high x 303mm deep if 340mm Max Depth inc fittings.
THE AMP ITSELF WEIGHS ABOUT 11.5KG
