Genuine 72w RMS both channels playing, the Highest Power Pioneer until the SX-1010 in 1974.

Recent Upgrades to FASCIA LIGHTS as LED & the Meter always on as it looks nice. Brighness of all Fascia Matched. TONE STAGE Uprated to a Far Better Sounding one from another 1969 Pioneer, Rotary Pots fitted as shown. Much better than the Stepped Controls which we never liked. POWER SUPPLY upgraded to a more Streamined design. Why Not Try these Things, Redesigning Vintage Hifi does need doing. No lousy 100K Signal Resistor Pre to Power Amp as originally done. Has 2 Sets of 4mm Sockets as is our Custom Way. Not easy to do right. BEST ONE ON THE PLANET!

The Sound is way Improved over the original design. Matches our Tannoy Golds so nicely with a very clean Treble, precise Midrange & solid Bass that a 72w amp should give. No Hiss or Hum, it's as Silent as you'd want on 95dB Speakers & after letting voltages settle 1 minute it's ready to use, as with any Capacitor Coupled amp.

Great Phono Stage, we tested 8 of our Transistor amps & this was The Best Phono one. Clean & Precise with a Crisp Treble, not the usual Dull sound.

This is Redesign by Us & It's What We Do. Way overdoing the work in an amp to see what's really in it. Some real headaches in this, but it adds to Our Skills so worth doing.

Autotune feature works, a motor rides the Tuner Pointer up & down until it finds a strong Station. All the lights in the Autotune buttons work. You need a strong aerial to get it to pick up a Station to stop at. To stop it scrolling just switch away from Tuner.

Tuner is Recapped too, very clean accurate sound which most Tuners don't have. Into Stereo on FM with ease, if the Stereo bulb not working as obscure voltage bulb.

Condition is Nice, with the obvious Cigarette burn-singe which will have taken 10 mins to do that. Singed wood is flat & best just painted over. A small scratchy patch on the top left could be tidied too, we don't have the gear now as varnish stain stuff dries out after years. Tiny scratch on fascia over Tuning knob, overall 8/10 crisp corners on the wood. 1969 now 55 years old.

All Switches & Buttons are Correct on the Fascia. 3 Core Mains cable fitted. The side odd plug pieces are for an optional MM Phono unit, not included.

This is The Most Upgraded Receiver We've Sold. In reality the work in it could easily Double this price, if Sale Prices never recoup the Work as the Car Shows tell.

You want something Special? Here it is. It's for Sale as once an Amp is considered 'Finished' to sell some as to not need too many to use on rotation on Speakers. This one has seen a good amount of Speaker use by Us. No Turn On or Off Noises beyond a small Clunk right on Turn on.
